Welcome to Eclipse season and the transformative power of this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus! Eclipses always contain an aura of mystery and convey a feeling of metaphysical power because they are connected to the mystical South and North Node of the Moon, which symbolize energetic portals in the individual and collective soul journey. Eclipses represent very potent opportunities for recalibrating karmic patterns as we navigate through these high-energy gateways. A Lunar Eclipse Full Moon helps us to release energy while a Solar Eclipse New Moon, which we will have on December 3rd, is about building energy.
The fundamental purpose of this Full Moon Eclipse in Taurus is to facilitate a profound soul healing by letting go of old energies that no longer support our evolutionary path forward. We may feel a release in certain areas of our bodies where we have been holding on to tension for a long time. We are individually and collectively shedding some very old skin, and the process may be challenging. The intensity of the purge reflects the intensity of the times we are living in. We need to be gentle with ourselves and call upon our spiritual support team of helpers, healers and guides who are always ready to assist us or send someone on our path at the perfect time.
Scorpio rules the great depths below the surface of the earth as well as the deepest realms of the human psyche. When the cosmic Scorpion dances with the cosmic Bull, the Earth trembles and exposes the buried contents of energies that were made secret or pushed down for a very long time. We have already seen many unpleasant and shocking secrets come to light this year and we are going to see many more emerge over the weeks and months ahead. In this extraordinary period of chaotic change, we must individually and collectively face all the music in order to sing a new tune based on a higher and more loving frequency.

This Full Moon Eclipse also shines a very powerful light on the importance of Taurus, which is the most physical, sensual and resilient sign of the Zodiac. The universe is asking us to strongly focus our attention and tender loving care on the sacredness of our physical bodies and our precious planet. We can all greatly benefit from any physical and emotional healing therapies that we are drawn to, which will really help us to address, acknowledge and unblock energy in our body. Gaia has a galactic intelligence and is communicating powerfully to all of humanity through extreme weather events like torrential rains, storms, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Are we truly understanding the message?
Uranus is another very important teacher at this time and all year long as it continues its cosmic tussle with Saturn. The ongoing 90-degree square aspect between these two titans is the dominant astrological story of 2021: Freedom vs Control. We had the first geometric alignment in February, then in June, and the final one will happen on December 24th, which will propel the storms of change well into 2022.
At the time of the Eclipse, Uranus, planet of revolution and independence, is in very close opposition with Mars, cosmic Warrior and god of Inspired Action. Uranus naturally correlates with lightning storms and earthquakes, but when it is entangled with Mars, the seismic power increases exponentially. We are seeing fierce physical storms such as the ones in British Columbia, as well as gigantic disruptions in the global supply chain system and in the social, financial, ecological, political landscapes. Uranus is churning the earth of Taurus from 2018 to 2026, highlighting the importance of all the resources available on and below the ground.
The high voltage energy of Mars opposite Uranus may increase the tendency for accidents, so we need to be extra mindful and conscious of our body movements at this time. This energy could also create some fantastic breakthroughs regarding certain entrenched mindsets or behavioural patterns that are ripe for transformation. I recommend that everyone give and receive some gentle hugs, and spend some quality time outdoors to sit on the earth and literally ground all the energy being unleashed by Mars-Uranus and this Full Moon Eclipse.
There is a tremendous amount of fixed sign energy these days with the Sun, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus all in Scorpio, Aquarius or Taurus. The shadow side of Fixed signs is feeling stuck and resisting change, holding on to anything to maintain some stability at any cost with legendary stubbornness, even if what we are holding on to is crumbling. The Sun and Moon will both form a 90-degree square aspect to Jupiter, which will expand all the energies because it is the largest planet in our solar system and rules growth and expansion. Since Jupiter is in Aquarius, this is an invitation to expand our humanitarian nature and allow our authentic beingness to inspire our actions. This focus on Aquarius can also shine a light on society’s increased dependency on technology, which is a double-edged sword.
