Let’s explore the powerful cosmic currents shimmering in this bright Full Moon in Leo, exact on February 12, at 8:53 am ET. The collective energy is always amped up in the days leading up to and after a Full Moon, especially when it is in a Fire sign like Leo, and when it is strongly wired to high voltage Uranus. We are definitely navigating some wild waters and stormy weather out there in the physical 3D world, collectively and individually, but there is plenty of magic in the air as well. In these Full Moon skies, the Sun is shining in Aquarius in close alignment with Mercury, both in a tense square aspect with Uranus in Taurus. Uranus has sharply increased its influence in the last several months, especially since Pluto’s paradigm shattering shift into Aquarius in 2024. Remember that Aquarius is naturally ruled by Uranus, and Uranus rules revolutions, shocking and unpredictable changes, surprises, revelations, innovations as well as deep urges for freedom and independence. Have you felt any of that lately?
This bold Aquarian Air energy can create intellectual storms in our minds, trying to absorb and process all that is going on in the world, politically, economically and in so many facets of life, especially since the inauguration of the new US President. It can be dizzying trying to keep up with it all. I keep coming back to the metaphor of recalibrating our energy field to stay centred inside the calm eye of the storm, rather than being buffeted by the strong winds blowing in the outside world.
In perfect timing, this Leo Full Moon reminds us to shine our true inner soul light centered in the heart, with dignity, majesty and sovereignty. Healthy Leo light shines with a self assurance and confidence that does not need to roar to get attention, unless it is called for. Some of us are called to roar and speak our voice loudly while others express their true light in a softer and gentler tone. Leo also reminds to play, enjoy life, and celebrate the glory and magic of being alive! What makes your heart sing, every day? Since Leo is ruled by the Sun, this Full Moon in Leo beckons us to come out and play in the sun, allowing ourselves to soak in the life-enhancing and rejuvenating rays of our galactic star. The Leo Full Moon connects to the heart of winter magic, which naturally connects to the magic of summertime in the southern hemisphere.
When Leo is unconscious, young or wounded, it craves any kind of attention to be seen, honored and validated. Sometimes, they perform brash or dramatic actions to achieve their goals. I would also like to point out that in the first few months of 2025, Neptune, god of the seas, is sailing in the last degrees of Pisces, in close conjunction with the North Node of the Moon, our evolutionary future. All this Water energy is gentle, dreamy, mutable and very yin. When Neptune and Pisces are strong like they are these days, we can easily feel tired, spacey, listless, overwhelmed, disoriented or disillusioned. Can you relate?
What is the purpose of this energy you ask? I often ask the universe that question as well because I believe everything in existence has meaning, power and purpose. With Neptune and Pisces orienting our collective journey at this point, the answer is simple, yet radically profound: it is embracing a deeper surrender, fierce trust and bold faith in the flow of life within and around us. Coming back to the imagery of navigating the wild waters of life, let’s also remember that when we dive into deeper water, we come to a calmer energy, below the surface, which is easily agitated. We can visualize this underwater sanctuary anytime to help soothe our mind, heart and body. I find it increasingly necessary to take some time every day to slow down, breathe, and make choices and decisions that come from my heart. Since Leo naturally connects to the heart space, this Leo Full Moon can inspire us to more strongly attune to the amazing wisdom and magic of our heart to lead the way, always in coherence with our mind and the intelligence of our body.
