Bonjour! Welcome to the deep, galactic luminosity of this Full Supermoon and partial eclipse in Pisces, which is exact at 10:30 pm EDT on September 17 and early on September 18. Sending everyone a galaxy of gratitude for joining me. I invite you to relax for a few moments and enjoy reading and reflecting on this post.
We are now fully immersed in the transformative power of the fall eclipse cycle, which begins with this lunar eclipse and ends with a solar eclipse on October 2. Eclipses are so impactful and significant that we can feel them for a good month before they happen and up to 6 months later. I see eclipses as cosmically charged portals that are designed to support and facilitate a deep release of old themes and patterns, which creates space for profound transitions, endings and new beginnings.
The last series of Virgo-Pisces eclipses happened in 2016-2017. Take a moment to reflect back on your personal themes and collective mindset of those years, and you may find similar energetic echoes rippling out in different ways at this time, especially relative to the houses activated in your own birthchart. I am feeling these themes echoing in my own life quite profoundly.
In this Lunar Eclipse sky, the Sun in Virgo is exactly opposite the Full Moon in Pisces. From an evolutionary perspective, this eclipse invites us to surrender to a deeper recalibration and reconnection of our human self with our spiritual cosmic self. As above, so below; so below, as above. Let’s also remember that soul embodiment can be a profound and messy process. This supermoon shines a bright light on what is normally hidden or misunderstood deep within us; it is time to foster a new level of healing and release by leaning into a deeper feeling of self love, self acceptance, self presence and self respect.
I will never forget walking in a quiet street somewhere in India many years ago and seeing a gigantic banner that read “cleanliness is next to godliness.” Decluttering our home and physical environment always helps to declutter, purify and energize our mind, soul and body. When you really think about it, cleaning, purifying and beautifying is a sacred practice that beautifully reflects the high magic of Virgo.
This Full Moon in Pisces is closely conjunct Neptune in Pisces, which greatly amplifies the galactic frequencies of Pisces and Neptune. The Fishes occupy a very special place as the last sign of the Zodiac, a transition point that invites us to pause, breathe deeply and dive into the mystical waters of Neptune, cosmic gateway to the wisdom of the universe. I see this strong influx of water energy helping us to let go and release another layer of old, limiting beliefs, thought programs and ancient conditioning.
In the last few months of 2024, we are learning to transition and flow into brand new spaces of unchartered potential. It simply makes sense to release as much unnecessary weight as possible before we enter the radically new energies and timelines of 2025, when Uranus, Neptune and Pluto will all have shifted into new signs. This eclipse calls us to view reality with a wider lens and embrace a more expansive and multidimensional perspective on life, open our eyes to a greater spiritual purpose, and reconnect with the greater cosmos with more ease, grace and love.
The holistic synergy between Virgo and Pisces reminds us that existence is a vast interconnected network of cosmic consciousness and cooperation. “Everything in the universe is inside you.” (Rumi) This awareness can boost our our capacity to be more flexible and fluid as we trust in the unfolding of the divine mystery in any and every moment.
It is impossible to explore the infinite amount of messages and possible expressions of any Full Moon, especially an eclipse. Here is one more message I feel called to share. There is something about the Virgo-Pisces axis that can also help us reclaim sacred innocence, which is the purest essence of our human expression. When we can see beauty in the subtlest things and see the dignity and divinity within ourselves and others as perfectly imperfect exactly as we/they are, we immediately reconnect with a feeling of oneness and compassion that is so healing, soothing and satisfying no matter what is going on around us.
