Big energetic changes this week! We have the gentle magic of the New Moon in Cancer, the powerful shift of the Lunar Nodes and the deeper relationship vibe of Venus retrograde. Sending you all warm waves of gratitude for joining me. I hope you enjoy this short reflection on the important cosmic currents flowing from mid to late July.
I had a lovely brunch and visit with a dear friend on Saturday. We enjoyed some coffee, a delicious meal, stimulation conversation and beautiful connection. We talked about so many wonderful things including the importance of soul-led living, creating sacred space and nourishing the connections between all of us. This is a wonderful message for the New Moon in Cancer.
Cancer is a very tender, caring and sensitive sign, and is ruled by the Moon. We may feel increased lunar frequencies and stronger instincts to feel cozy, comfortable, safe, happy and loved. As the cosmic Crab, Cancer invites us to savour the comfort of home and share a sense of belonging with our soul family. The New Moon could energize a greater sense of security and deep soul bonding for the entire human family. Please join me to visualize and feel the world delicately enveloped in the purest, divine love and light.
The Sun and Moon are forming a harmonious trine aspect with Neptune in Pisces, which amplifies the healing power of water for this whole lunar cycle. Water has the power to hydrate and nourish all life. Water is also the amniotic fluid that carries us through the birthing process. Literally and figuratively, we are all birthing a strong new version of ourselves. Neptune can boost our intuitive mind and stimulate our creative imagination and inspiration. The god of water and sea teaches us to surrender with greater trust and faith in the flow of life.
Any New Moon can represent a new cycle of energy and new opportunities for growth. Look to see where 25 degrees of Cancer falls in your chart to nourish this area of your life. But this New Moon is extra special as it also coincides with the Lunar Nodes changing signs to mark a new focus on our individual and global evolutionary journey. The South Node, aka Dragon’s Tail in eastern mythology, represents our past patterns and conditioning. The North Node or Dragon’s Head, points us to the path forward and the experiences that our soul needs to grow and evolve. The Lunar Nodes are truly fascinating, powerful and magical symbols.
This New Moon features a super potent Grand Cardinal Cross involving Pluto in late Capricorn square to the Lunar Nodes, all square to the Sun in late Cancer. We have felt the heavy pressure of Pluto in Capricorn for a long time and it has left many of us feeling tight or rigid in our physical/mental/emotional body. Let’s allow the soothing water flowing from Sun & Moon in Cancer and Neptune in Pisces to soften those rough edges and loosen that stiffness. The softness of water creates more ease, relaxation and more openness to change. Neptune teaches us to let go of trying to control everything. Water is cleansing and helps us to feel deeply refreshed and invigorated.
After 18 months of travelling through Scorpio, the South Node enters Libra, while the North Node leaves Taurus and enters Aries. We now have a strong influx of cardinal energy and powerful creative force coming from Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn. This New Moon and Nodal Shift is a powerful initiation into the gentle magic of Cancer and the courageous fire of Aries: expressing a brave heart.
The high road of Aries is self-mastery; it is claiming the freedom to choose what path we want to take and what actions we want to initiate to more fully embody the noble Warrior, fearless Pioneer and courageous Leader of our own lives.
Finally, Venus will station retrograde in Leo, on July 22, the same day that the Sun enters Leo. Venus is the living symbol for love, peace, beauty, connection, creative expression and our most cherished values. For 40 days, Venus will invite us to journey inward and bring more light, love and joy (Leo) to every part of our being. As we bring more love to the relationship we have with ourselves, we also anchor the vibration of love deeper within the heart of humanity. This deep soul work requires sacred space and a brave heart.
