Welcome to the uplifting magic of the New Moon in Sagittarius, exact this Wednesday, November 23 at around 6 pm EST. I feel a great sense of joy, expansion and hope in this New Moon and I hope you do as well. Enjoy some nice deep breaths and get comfortable as we explore these numinous New Moon skies. Whenever the Sun enters a Fire sign like Sagittarius, Aries or Leo, there is always a boost of life force on the planet, which is a wonderful gift, especially now. We can feel and express this invigorating life force energy with more bursts of joy, laughter and warm smiles. It is not a coincidence that many holidays are celebrated during Sagittarius season as the fire energy of the cosmic Archer carries the light of faith all the way to the Winter Solstice in late December. Sagittarius is ruled by the planet Jupiter, which signifies abundance, prosperity, wisdom, joy, hope and faith because it is the largest and brightest planet in our solar system. Remember that planets also live in our psyche; our Jupiterian circuits inspire us to keep believing in the most positive and beneficial outcomes in almost any situation. This New Moon calls us to believe and trust that a brighter future is not only possible, but already here.
If you have a strong Sagittarius signature in your chart, you naturally embody the powerful archetype of the Centaur that requires a great sense of freedom to physically and philosophically explore life in all dimensions of reality. Because we all have Sagittarius somewhere in our chart and energy field, we can channel this energy through our intellectual muscles, stretching the mind to explore new ideas and acquire new knowledge. Sagittarius rules the legs, which can energize us to enjoy more movement and do more fun, physical activities like walking, hiking, running, yoga, dancing or playing any sport that you enjoy. I have recently joined my dad’s bowling league and am having lots of fun because I truly love this sport. The cosmic Archer is also about the human heart stretching outward to generate a stronger sense of the meaning or ultimate purpose of life.
Every year, the New Moon in Sagittarius signals a time when we are ready to lift our spirit up towards the stars of new possibilities, and explore new landscapes of a future that fills us with enthusiasm and joy. The word ‘enthusiasm’ is based on the greek ‘theos’ and means to be inspired by god. Travelling is always a fabulous adventure that awakens the heart of Sagittarius.
This New Moon invites all of us to focus our aim on the greatest meaning and purpose of our life pursuits. The collective psyche of humanity is also seeking to grow and expand into a more evolved consciousness. What truly matters in the grand scheme of things? We can experience this expansion as a boost of our spiritual faith, which is exactly the kind of growth that we need at this time to propel humanity into a new age in which peace, compassion, love and joy are the most natural shared values and currencies.
A few minutes after the exact New Moon moment, Jupiter will stop and turn Stationary Direct after many months of retrograde motion. Anytime a planet stations in its journey through space, its unique energy is magnified for some time before and after the station. So, Jupiter is increasing its frequency of faith, joy and abundance in the world soul. Jupiter is in the late degrees of Pisces, a sign of great compassion and imagination. The universe is beckoning us to expand our capacity to envision and believe in a brighter future for the entire world.
