Full Moon in Libra * Reclaim Sacred Balance
Dear star tribe, Bonjour!
Welcome to the effervescent luminosity of this Full Moon in Libra, which is exact at 8:22 pm on April 12, and represents the culmination point of what was seeded at the New Moon eclipse in Aries on March 29. We are being guided to shift our sense of identity and bring a new compassionate and healing awareness to all the ways we relate to ourselves, to each other and to the Earth and universe. This Full Moon reminds us to find new ways to maintain a state of balance as we surf these wild evolutionary waves with as much grace as possible. Thank you very much for joining me. I invite you to take a few deep breaths, get comfortable and enjoy this reflection on the cosmic currents flowing in April.
There is always so much information to cover but let’s focus on the core messages. If you are feeling concerned or overwhelmed by the tumultuous power games being played out in the 3D world, bring your attention to a vaster, higher vista of understanding to see that, as we are collectively rising in a new and higher vibrational way of living, the old paradigm of power over people has reached its crescendo, trying desperately to hold onto power and control. However, as more and more people awaken to reclaim and express their inner sovereignty like never before, the old power dynamics will fade and crumble.
The Sun’s passage through Aries, the cosmic Ram, every year from March 20 to April 20 signals a time of radical awakening and stimulating activation of the fire and passion of life and vitality in all our cells. Can you feel this? It is all about awakening our personal, individual desires to be who we truly are with vigour and excitement for the new growth everywhere in nature that we can see and feel in the magic of springtime! The Full Moon in Libra reminds us that it is now time to remember our natural interconnectedness and that we always live in partnership and relationship with everyone and everything. It illuminates and brings into focus our shared desire to come together and build a stronger sense of community, harmony, beauty, peace, love and oneness as we collaborate to co-create a new Earth together.
May this Full Moon inspire all of us to foster new relationships or new dynamics in our relationships that reflect our true and authentic desires and values. Let’s address the importance of Mercury, Neptune and the North Node of the Moon. If you read my Star Notes regularly or follow other astrologers, you will remember that Neptune just shifted into the warm alchemical fire of Aries on March 30, announcing the birth of new spiritual visions of a new age for new Earth.
Mercury stopped its retrograde cycle on April 7, but it has been moving in close alignment with Neptune since March, which means that our thinking and our inner/outer communications have been influenced by Neptune for a few weeks now. Both Neptune and Mercury have also formed conjunctions with the North Node of the Moon There are many ways that we can feel this energy and it is important to be aware of the potential challenges as well as the available blessings that always accompany any planetary alignment.
As god of the seas, Neptune can bring some fog and uncertainty to our perception and understanding of reality. You may be wondering: what is real? Who and what can I trust? Who am I? Who are we? It is very easy to feel some confusion and disorientation at this time, yet it is good to remember that the fog always lifts eventually, and we will begin to see our path forward with more ease, assurance and clarity. In its highest expression, I believe that Neptune conjunct Mercury is about allowing our mind to flow more intuitively, and trusting the messages and insights that come to us in dreams, meditations, synchronicities and sudden visions.
With the Sun and Neptune now shining in the bright and strong light of Aries since the end of March, we are all feeling a rise of our inner Warrior Leader and Pioneer wanting to bust out of our soul cages and express new versions of ourselves. We are feeling called to be braver, more courageous and more confident in our understanding of who we are and what we are here to do, as we individually and collectively anchor a new frequency onto the planet.
For a few days around this Full Moon, the Sun will be conjunct the centaur planet Chiron as well as the dwarf planet Eris, sister of Mars and goddess of justice and empowerment. Chiron is a very rich and complex archetype of deep soul healing, which asks us to face the darkness, challenges and suffering within ourselves, in others and the world that are coming into our awareness at this time. Healing times are not about finding ways to completely eradicate pain and discomfort; it is about reorienting ourselves to the journey of awakening, and fostering a more compassionate relationship with our experiences and the healing journey, which is a significant part of the human journey. Whatever issues come up at this time are new layers in the healing journey that are ready to be acknowledged, accepted, loved and integrated back into our awareness.
In time, our wounds connect us to a deeper inner wisdom that can transmute a very old victim consciousness and birth a stronger feeling of personal and collective empowerment.
Venus is ending its 40 day retrograde cycle at almost exactly the same time as the Full Moon, which significantly boosts the energy and the themes of Venus in this Full Moon sky. As Venus resumes direct motion after this time of deep inner reflection through the psychic underworld, it can fuel a rise in the sacred feminine within all of us. This will support us in reconnecting with a sacred balance within all our energy systems. Starting on April 12, there is an awakening of our inner Venus to express more love, more beauty, more balance and more connection, which is the perfect soothing balm in support of the healing process initiated by the strong presence of Chiron.
The discovery of Eris in 2005 revolutionized our astronomical understanding of the nature of planets and the structure of the solar system. As the sister of Mars in ancient mythology, Eris represents a fierce and bold feminine warrior in support of justice and equality for all. Eris in conjunction with the Sun and Chiron, and in opposition to this Full Moon is here to help us reclaim our light, our power, our gifts, our divine essence and sovereignty in brave new ways.
