Total Solar Eclipse SuperMoon in Aries!

Warm greetings and big love to everyone! We are riding some of the biggest waves of evolutionary change of the entire year. We could feel many different emotions and physical energy changes on any given day as these cosmic currents can fluctuate and change quite rapidly. In these Star Notes, I will share some insights into this very important eclipse, as well as messages regarding Mercury, which is retrograde all April, plus the rare, exciting conjunction between Jupiter and Uranus peaking in late April but is operational all March, April and May. I sense that this spring is a pivotal turning point in our personal and collective destiny. Galaxy of gratitude for joining me.
Eclipses always represent times of radical changes, endings and beginnings. This incredible New Supermoon eclipse features 7 symbols in Aries: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Chiron, North Node and Eris! Aries, the Ram represents the primal fire of life that animates every cell of our being and all life in nature to reawaken and sprout new growth. This massive influx of Aries can be seen or felt as volcanic eruption that can be so destructive and yet we are in awe of its intense power. Like hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, tsunamis and lightning storms, volcanos are naturally wild expressions of living forces that animate this magical planet we call Earth. The Total Solar Eclipse happens at 19 degrees of Aries. If you know your chart, feel this energy flowing and stimulating that area of life and the aspects it makes to other planets. This is an especially important time to plant new seeds of strong intentions in those areas of your chart. Allow this special eclipse to light a new fire of passion in your body, mind, heart and soul!
Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac, the natural Leader, Pioneer and Warrior within the human psyche. It is the primal “I am”, urge to be, thrive and release our unique, essential vibration into the universe. The New Moon in Aries always signifies the core thrust of life for the entire year, but this is no ordinary New Moon. This is a Total Eclipse Supermoon, which greatly amplifies, magnifies and unleashes tons of wild, weird or dramatic experiences as well as passion, desire, kundalini, anger and ecstasy. All of it. In some ways, this total solar eclipse is a calling to claim a new sense of vitality, identity and life mission/purpose that reflects who you are now in your deepest truth of your being. Technically, the eclipse only lasts a few moments; however the transformative magic of the eclipse will last up to 6 months.
Lee Harris likens the month of April to a “storm of transformation”. Storms have a way of dredging up old energies and wounds that were hidden for a long time. Let’s bring in the significance of Chiron now. The minor planet Chiron was discovered in 1977 and is known as the “Wounded Healer” in astrology. Chiron has been closely aligned with the North Node in Aries since early 2024 and will influence our path of personal and collective evolution for several weeks. The first half of the year is calling us to face, feel and heal whatever has come up or showing up in order to rise into the new. Chiron asks us to renew confidence in our ability to face adversity and faith in all our actions and initiatives. We need to remember how strong we are and initiate actions to support our health and vitality. Chiron reminds us that in many ways, the human journey is a healing journey.
All this Aries activation is very fast moving energy; however, there are some planetary movements that also indicate a need to slow down, pause and reflect on all that is going on within and around us. I am taking about the Mercury Retrograde phase that began on April 1 and ends on April 25, but really ends in mid-may when you factor in the retrograde shadow phase. Because the energies are so fast moving, we need to take our time and not rush willy-nilly into making important decisions or taking new actions. Cultivating mindfulness and moments of stillness helps us gain mental clarity and support us to embrace any sudden changes that come form outside whether they seem beneficial or not.
Here is an interesting observation. Just before Mercury stationed (stopped), it formed a conjunction with Chiron, and will realign with the symbol of healing 3 times: March 20, April 17/18, and May 6. The solar system is giving us more time and opportunities to go deeper in our understanding (Mercury) of our core soul wounds (Chiron) that can flare up and manifest in our physical, emotional or psychological being, at a deeper level. Honor the great healing and shadow work that you have been doing and also be open to the gifts and the grace that these new eclipse energies can bestow. This deep soul work is inspiring us to become “ambassadors of Soul on Earth.” (Lee Harris)
The other reason why we need to be careful in our movement these days has to do with the alignment between Mars and Saturn in Pisces, which is exact only 2 days after the eclipse. Mars is the planetary ruler of Aries; both Mars and Aries connect to the Hero, Warrior and Leader archetypes. Saturn represents discipline, responsibility, maturity and healthy limitations. You can see how this Mars-Saturn conjunction also energizes the need for slower, conscious, mindful actions and trusting our intuition with the flow (Pisces).
I now present a few key messages from the upcoming, uber-important Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Taurus, which invites us to expand (Jupiter) into the great unknown (Uranus). This rare transit will be exact on April 20, but we have been feeling its wild, electric, unpredictable power for a few weeks now and for a few weeks to come. Jupiter and Uranus only align every 14 years or so but only come together in Taurus, specifically, every 85 years, approximately. As the largest planet in our solar system, Jupiter, aka Zeus, represents growth, faith, joy and expansion. It magnifies whatever it comes in contact with. Uranus is the symbol for revolution, freedom, liberation, radical change, technological innovation, lightning storms and earthquakes. Jupiter and Uranus are coming together in Taurus to inspire us to break free from old, rigid beliefs and habit patterns in the physical world, in our bodies and in our connection to Nature. This powerful transit can feel quite destabilizing because that is what it is designed to do. Periods of change and instability also create space for enlightenment: new discoveries, breakthroughs and wonderful, unexpected surprises.
We are living in a time when the old human consciousness is meeting future human consciousness. Let’s stay open and curious to embrace new possibilities, break new ground and dare to do something different to create the future we want to see. In these powerful New Moon Solar Eclipse skies, we have a synergetic activation of Aries and Taurus. This motivates us to come back to simple, spontaneous instincts and desires that feel right in our bodies. Can you feel all of this? Nature is calling us to come out, step out, bust out… get outside, in the fresh air and sun… dance a new dance and sign a new song!
