We have a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra at exactly 3 am ET on March 25th, which feels like a new balance point in our personal and global dance with light and shadow as we continue to more deeply anchor the shift into New Earth. There is so much to talk about! As always, I will share a collection of my favourite insights and messages gathered from a variety of trusted astrologers and spiritual teachers. First, we’ll explore the power of Aries and the spring equinox, which is also the fall equinox in the southern hemisphere. Then, we’ll shift our attention to this special Full Moon Lunar Eclipse and the potent healing opportunities that are coming up. Hang in there my friends, the energies are very strong and turbulent but so is the potential for healing and growth. Many of us have become more skilled and experienced in navigating times of change with greater trust, ease, faith, openness and curiosity to see where the flow is taking them.
In the world of astrology, the spring equinox creates the energetic blueprint for the entire year. I feel called to share a few messages from what astrologers call the Aries Ingress chart. When the Sun entered Aries at the equinox on March 19/20, it was very closely aligned with Neptune in Pisces. In its shadow expressions, Neptune, god of the seas of consciousness, can create a misty fog of confusion and illusion, leaving us feeling lost or adrift in the world. What is real? What is true? Where are we going? But, when we bring our energy to our heart’s intuitive intelligence, Neptune can infuse a deep sense of vision, imagination, compassion and kindness into the evolutionary fabric of 2024. As the gateway between our solar system and the universe, Neptune reminds us that we are always supported by an amazing multidimensional team that continually holds compassionate space for our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.
When the Sun’s shift into Aries ushered in the equinox, the Moon was in Leo and in opposition to Pluto in Aquarius. This dynamic between Pluto and the Moon can reflect powerful emotions and instincts for freedom, sovereignty and empowerment again this year. As Pluto shifts out of Capricorn where it was since 2008, we are more clearly seeing the darker agendas of power trying desperately to reassert their ancient top-down control structures. In recent months and years, Earth has been bombarded with cosmic light through mega solar flares and geomagnetic instabilities, which also created an exponential increase in human consciousness and creative power to shape our reality in ways that make us feel more alive and in tune with our free will as sovereign beings. More and more people are standing in their truth and divinity, reclaiming power, freedom and autonomy. We are in truly revolutionary times.
Every equinox marks the return to balance in the dance between the light of day and the darkness of night. Here in the northern hemisphere, the sun now begins to shine brighter, warmer and longer. It represents the rise of the yang and bold instincts of Aries, the Ram, Leader, Warrior and Pioneer within human consciousness. Look in your chart to see where 5 degrees of Aries stimulates the sacred Warrior in your life. Where do you need to express yourself in new ways and new directions with new zeal and zest? May the regenerative fire of Aries and the spring equinox spark a rebirth of the sacred fire of valour, bravery and leadership in your life.
There is a lot of chaos, violence, destruction as well as confusion swirling in some areas of the planet. However, there are also beautiful and wonderful things happening all the time. Because of the media’s hyper focus on stories that create fear, we need to embody a stronger vibration of peace and kindness within our own personal energy field in order to create a more harmonious energetic balance in the outside world. There are times when we need to take bold actions in order to create more balance, and sometimes we just need to embody more peace, grace, kindness and patience. The Full Moon in Libra, always in geometric opposition to the Sun in Aries, reminds us to flow between times of inspired action and peaceful connection
The Full Moon Eclipse in Libra reminds us that balance is required to move in new directions. “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” (Albert Einstein) Every Full Moon is a culmination, completion, closing and ending of some kind, especially when it is conjunct the South Node, symbol of our past. Because this eclipse is basically an expanded and stronger Full Moon in Libra, it is calling us to let go of and release old patterns and karmic entanglements within our relationships, in order to create space for new forward momentum.
In these gently eclipsed Full Moon skies, we also have a super important triple alignment or conjunction between Chiron, planet of soul wound healing, Mercury, cosmic Messenger, and the North Node of the Moon which illuminates our evolutionary future path. It is simply time to do deep healing work and release old stuff, old wounds before we can fully emerge into the new. My friend Shelley Young of Trinity Esoterics reminds us that one very essential part of the healing journey is forgiveness. “When we forgive, we release the past. When we have energetic cords to other people that were formed by difficult or traumatic experiences, those cords will re-create even if we do cord-cutting. It is the act of forgiveness that dissipates the cords completely.”
The symbolic magic contained in the Scales of Libra teaches us that we are always in deep relationship with other beings and energies within us and around us. The delicate balance in all our relationships is continually shifting and changing. As conscious beings, it is our responsibility to notice when and where there is an imbalance in our energy field, and rebalance or reconnect our energy in new ways. This Full Moon Eclipse in Libra is a calling to higher heart relationships and an invitation to reconnect to the light and wisdom of our soul that always knows what to do. Let’s trust that!
